What is household hazardous waste?

Types of waste accepted by the Household Hazardous Waste Program are:

Flammable

Paints, dry or wet, petroleum based products, polishes, and gasoline

Corrosive

Acids, bases, batteries, and drain clog remover

Toxic

Poisons, pesticides, gardening chemicals, ammonia, and solvents

Oxidizers

Pool chemicals, hydrogen peroxide, iodine, and perchlorates

Additional items you can drop off

E-waste, propane, helium, small oxygen tanks, smoke detectors, fluorescent lamps, and sharps
